Event management is a demanding part of the third semester curriculum. Each year the class is split into groups of three who are then allocated different events to organize. This last year, the following were challenged.

  • Pub quiz evening
  • SHS Faculty Dinner
  • SJ Andrews PTY Ltd, 20 years Celebration Dinner
  • Cheese and wine tasting evening
  • End of term student breakfast event
  • Dinner for (high) School Career Counselors
  • Poitjie Kos Cooking challenge

 Students organize every aspect of the event from client liaison, to planning, procurement, menus, and of course running the event. For many this first chance to step into the limelight is both intimidating and hugely rewarding.
