Thank you for hosting The St Lawrence Children’s Haven Charity Event

On the 22^nd of February 2020, The Swiss Hotel School hosted a charity event for St Laurence Children’s Haven. The Children’s Haven aims to offer abused, neglected and abandoned children love and care in a secure and warm environment. The Swiss Hotel School team decided to create a Carnival themed fun day for the kids. A day for them to have as much fun as possible!

We played games with the children, ate candy floss, popcorn, and soft-serve ice-cream and watched as the kids jumped to their heart’s content on a jumbo jumping castle, as their giggles and laughter echoed in the background.  At lunchtime, the children were invited to get creative, where we had a build-your-own pizza stand (they obviously enjoyed creating their very own pizza). Children really enjoyed this part of the day, while they spent their time making their own fancy pizza, and of course, eating it. 

After a wonderful day, we wrapped things up by handing over all of the amazing donations from our sponsors, over to The Haven. We manage to collect in total R5300 in cash, and goods to the value of almost R15000.

As the team that organized this event, we were very proud that it was a huge success, and we could not be happier with the outcome of our efforts, and most of all, how happy the kids were throughout the day. It would not have been possible without the help of all who were involved including our sponsors and donators of goods, and on this note, we would like to say a huge thank you to the following for aiding our team:
